Regions and your data
Where Submissions and files are stored, and what stays global.
Each Workspace chooses a Region, EU or US, when it is created. The Region decides where its visitors' data is stored.
Stored in the Workspace's Region
- Submissions and their fields, with the page address and user agent saved alongside them
- Files
- Webhook delivery logs, once webhooks ship
- Exports
Stored globally, in the EU
One control database in the EU holds the account side: Users, Workspaces, Projects, Forms, their settings, Recipients and webhook settings. That's what lets the dashboard list every Workspace you belong to in one place. It means a US Workspace's Recipient email addresses and its Members' accounts are in the EU.
Notifications and exports by email
An email travels through an email provider and the Recipient's own mail server, so a Notification isn't covered by the Region. A full Notification carries every field value, and file links. If the data has to stay in the Region, switch the Form to link-only Notifications. Export emails carry only a link.
Changing Region
The Region can't be changed from the dashboard. Moving a Workspace to the other Region is a manual migration. Create a second Workspace if you need data in both.
Visitor IP addresses
The endpoint reads the visitor's IP address for the rate limits and Turnstile's check, and never stores it.
